Message
from Tim McCleary, Chairman of the Board
of Directors
I
am pleased to welcome you to the Winter
Edition of the Needham Opportunities, Inc.
Newsletter. As we begin our eleventh year,
we look forward to a productive time for
NOI. We have expanded our responsibilities
in the monitoring of affordable housing
developments, working on new community partnerships,
new funding sources, and continuing to work
on our own development of affordable housing
units.
As with all nonprofit organizations, we
have had to be extremely diligent in this
economy to continue doing business. Toward
that goal, we have recently sent out our
annual appeal letter and hope you will consider
donating whatever you are able. We appreciate
all your support.
We are looking forward to our annual concert,
March 27, 2010, at 7:00 pm at the Carter
Memorial Methodist Church and will feature
headliner Chris Pahud, our own Jerry Wasserman
and the Great Experiment, and Philip Kissinger,
as well as some additional performers. Please
mark the date on your calendar and be sure
to be there. See our website for tickets
and details: www.NOIHome.org.
Hope to see you there.

NEWS:
NOI's Executive Director,
Sheila Pransky and Americorps Member, Katherine

in the month. They spent a week in rural Mississippi
helping rebuild a house that was recently destroyed
by a fire. Needham Cares is a community service
group that has been connecting community groups
and individuals from Needham with victims of
Hurricane Katrina (and other disasters) in Mississippi.
